The Koh Samui region has a number of international airports. Koh Samui Airport is located in the Koh Samui area on Koh Samui Island, about 5km northwest of Chaweng. International flights land at Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Krabi, Hat Yai, Chiang Rai, Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Chumphon, Ranong, Trat and Loei.

Domestic flights land in Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Udon Thani, Surat Thani, Hua Hin, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Ubon Ratchathani, Chumphon, Trang, Ranong and Loei. More than 1,000 flights a week land at Koh Samui. Koh Samui Airport is only a 15-minute drive from downtown Koh Samui.

The Thai authorities built a new airport on Koh Samui, which opened in March 1989. The airport was designed to accommodate medium and long-range jets and medium-sized airliners. The new airport has a 2,850 metre long, 45 metre wide runway. The airport can accommodate medium-sized airliners such as Airbus A330s, Boeing 777s and Boeing 767s. How do I get to Koh Samui?

Koh Samui is an island in Thailand located in the Gulf of Thailand, in the province of Surat Thani. It is one of the largest islands in Thailand and is also the most populated. It is known for its beaches, coconut trees, cliffs and lakes.

The island’s tropical climate makes it a popular year-round tourist destination. The island is home to many temples, the most famous of which is Wat Phra Yai, also known as Big Buddha.

Koh Samui has two airports: Koh Samui Airport, near the village of Bophut, and Koh Samui International Airport, located about 15 km northwest of the village of Chaweng.

The first airport is managed by Bangkok Airways. It serves many destinations in southern Thailand, as well as Chiang Mai, Bangkok and Hong Kong in Asia.

The second airport is operated by the Royal Thai Army. It offers flights to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.

The ferry journey can be made from the ports of Donsak and Surat Thani. The journey takes about 2 hours and is operated by several shipping companies.

Koh Samui is also accessible by road. It is possible to reach the island by bus from Surat Thani, by taxi or by rental car.
