Arrived in Samui on a late flight and had already booked into the Chaweng Cove Resotel for 3 nights (did this in Bangkok). Hotel was terrible and it didnt take long for us to decide to move. Walked up the beach road on the second night and found this delightful hotel, the Banana Fan Sea. The rooms were large enough to fit in 2 adults and 3 kids comfortably and very reasonable in price. Pool area has two small pools (1 spa) and a nice main pool. The grounds are well kept and are beautifully arranged. Beach is right on the doorstep and the usual hawkers abound but they walk away on a polite "no thanks". Food in the hotel was superb and excellent value. I would and already have, recommended this hotel to other´s as excellent value for money. The only complaint I would have if pushed, was the lack of quality evening entertainment. That said, there is enough on the doorstep to keep one busy for a lifetime so it wasn´t a major issue. Staff are friendly and very receptive to questions or requests. I found that each of my requests were attended to very promptly and with a smile. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

I would definately recommend the Banana Fan Sea hotel to anyone! The hotel was lovely and great value for money. The rooms were spacious, clean and well decorated. The pool area and gardens were very well maintained and the staff very helpfull. The resort was on the best part of the beach where the sea was clear and the sand was much nicer than what we saw further north of the beach. There are loads of lovely places to eat right outside, i would definately say the hotel is in the best location, not too near the busy bars, but close enough to walk. We took a look at some of the other hotels near by like chaweng buri, the banana fan was without doubt the best, for the amount of money we paid! You will not be disappointed with the Banana Fan Sea hotel in Koh Samui and i would absolutely go back!!!

Great value for money

We have visited Koh Samui many times now, opting to stay @ the Banana Fan about 4 times now. We choose the beach front villas, SUPERB quality accommodation, good value for money. The villas have recently been refurbish. and you are only a few footsteps away from the powdery white sands of Chaweng beach..... would have no trouble in recommending this resort to anyone, people on a budget can still enjoy the superb resort with one of the other superior rooms .

I dont think there is anything we dislike, we loved the hotel and the location, the staff were excellent. We had a very enjoyable time.
